The main streets of Bundaberg, Childers and Gin Gin will come to life with vibrant Christmas light displays for the month of December. Take the family for a stroll and enjoy the twinkling trees.

The main street light up will commence with Mayor Jack Dempsey turning on the Christmas lights in Buss Park at 7pm, Wednesday 1 December

The Ten Tenors: Home for the Holidays

Dining Night

Step inside your perfectly decorated bauble and be transported to a Christmas wonderland where the focus is good food and great company.

Guests will be immersed in the festive season as the Civic Centre is adorned with the lights and sounds of Christmas.

Family Night

This year, Bundaberg Regional Council will be offering Family night bookings for Bauble Dining. Guests will be able to bring their own picnic style dinner, platters and non-alcoholic drinks, and enjoy the magical experience of dining in their own perfectly decorated bauble, in their allocated timeslot, without the set catering package.

Walk-through Night

Step into a Christmas Wonderland in the Civic Centre for Walk-through Night. Residents will have the opportunity to view the beautifully decorated baubles and take a selfie or family Christmas photo.

While the Walk-through Night will be free to attend, bookings are essential and ticket numbers will be limited.

Twilight Markets and Music

Our artisan markets are on again and perfect for Christmas shopping! Enjoy an evening with friends, browsing stalls of beautiful handmade goodies from our local creatives, whilst enjoying live music. Then pop into the gallery and have a look at the wonderful exhibitions currently on display.

There Must Be More: A Christmas Musical

Heritage Christian Centre will be presenting a Christmas Musical for the whole family called “There Must Be More.”

Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood

Our story is set in Sherwood Forest where Robin Hood and his motley crew of Outlaws are stealing from the rich to give to the poor. Maid Marion has fled into the forest to escape the clutches of the evil Sheriff of Nottingham who wants to take her as his bride! When her true identity is revealed our hero is immediately smitten and it looks like Marion feels the same way!

A fun for the whole family pantomime musical that will be sure to make the audience roll down the aisle with laughter!

Buddy (Will Ferrell) was accidentally transported to the North Pole as a toddler and raised to adulthood among Santa's elves. Unable to shake the feeling that he doesn't fit in, the adult Buddy travels to New York, in full elf uniform, in search of his real father. As it happens, this is Walter Hobbs (James Caan), a cynical businessman. After a DNA test proves this, Walter reluctantly attempts to start a relationship with the childlike Buddy with increasingly chaotic results.

Everyone knows that, each Christmas, Santa Claus delivers presents to every last child on Earth. What everyone doesn't know is that Santa accomplishes the feat with a very high-tech operation beneath the North Pole. But when the unthinkable happens, and Santa misses one child out of hundreds of millions, someone has to save the day. It's up to Arthur (James McAvoy), Santa's youngest son, to deliver a present to the forgotten tyke before Christmas morning dawns.

Christmas Village

The magic of Christmas will come alive in the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens with the return of Merry and Bright.

The expanded production will run for three nights in 2021 with activities, roving entertainment, LED performers and a dazzling light display set to amaze and delight event goers.

The Botanic Gardens will be transformed into an enchanted Christmas village as Merry and Bright spreads the joy of the season.

Joining Santa and Mrs Claus for the first time in 2021 will be two of Santa’s real-life reindeer, along with their helpers, who can’t wait to meet you.

But be warned, Santa has had word that the Grinch could also be stopping by to crash the party!

Suellen Cusack-Greensill and Jessica Savage will return to perform their much-loved Christmas show, along with kids craft activities, free train rides and alpacas, that will keep the entire family entertained throughout the evening.

Café 1928 will be open to the public, plus food and drinks will be available from a variety of food vendors.

Light Night

The dazzling light display can also be viewed free of charge in all of its glory for an additional four nights.

As the hustle and bustle of the Christmas Village subsides, attendees can take a self-guided tour through the enchanted Botanic Garden walkways.

The mesmerising light display – which is the highlight of the Merry and Bright event – will stand alone on light night for those wishing to enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere.

From 12 to 15 December the Merry and Bright light display will remain in place. Café 1928 will be open to the public for food and drink. While tickets are free numbers are limited so bookings are essential.

Christmas Crusade

What better way to spread Christmas cheer than to help those in need in our community with the gift of giving! Triple M want their listeners to help local families who may need a little assistance this year to make Christmas special.

Live on radio, in partnership with Toyworld Bundaberg, Triple M is asking their mates in Bundy to donate gifts and non-perishable items this Christmas to support local Bundy families though Angels Community Group.

Triple M Bundy, Toyworld and Angels Community Group will all be allocated as collection points for donations.

Clarence then shows George what his town would have looked like if it hadn't been for all of his good deeds over the years. Will Clarence be able to convince George to return to his family and forget suicide?

Miracle on 34th Street

In this Christmas classic, an old man going by the name of Kris Kringle (Edmund Gwenn) fills in for an intoxicated Santa in Macy's annual Thanksgiving Day parade. Kringle proves to be such a hit that he is soon appearing regularly at the chain's main store in midtown Manhattan. When Kringle surprises customers and employees alike by claiming that he really is Santa Claus, it leads to a court case to determine his mental health and, more importantly, his authenticity. What ensues is a bizarre hearing in which people's beliefs are re-examined and put to the test, but even so, it's going to take a miracle for Kris to win.
