Normie Rowe – The Story So Far

FRIDAY 12 SEPTEMBER

Normie was the first King of Pop. He was far and away, Australia's most successful pop idol during the explosion of pop music and fashion in the mid-60s. He released a string of hits that are an important contribution to the soundtrack of the Baby Boomer generation. "Que Sera Sera", "Shakin' All Over", "It Ain't Necessarily So", "It's Not Easy" and "Ooh La La", among them, along with a constant media frenzy produced fan hysteria unseen before or since for an Australian artist.

At the peak of his popularity, Normie was called up for Army service. He served in Vietnam and on his return, found that his earlier success was of little value. He started again in the tough but educational Sydney Leagues club circuit working with big bands.

At the same time, he was studying acting and honing his vocal skills. The former led to a long running part in the TV series "Sons & Daughters". The combination of both led to his critically acclaimed role ad Jean Valjean in Les Miserables. His repertoire is drawn from the breadth of this extraordinary performing career. Normie Rowe AO is an Australian treasure and the consummate entertainer. The Story So Far... will provide a soundtrack and insights into an ever-cheerful life filled with exhilarating highs and shattering lows. Enjoy!

John Williamson – 55 Years – My Travellin' Days are Done!

SATURDAY 13 SEPTEMBER

What can be said about John Williamson that hasn't already been said? 2025 will mark his 55th year in the industry. He will also turn eighty. Twenty-five, fifty-five, eighty. From his humble beginnings as the son of a wheat farmer in the small Victorian Mallee town of Quambatook, it's quite an achievement.

His live concerts take the audience on a journey across this vast land, moving deftly between larrikin humour and touching pathos. From Cootamundra Wattle, Cydi, Three Sons, Rip Rip Woodchip, Galleries of Pink Galahs, Raining on the Rock, and his calling card, True Blue, he touches the audience's hearts, gives them hope and lingers in their memories.

Don't miss out on seeing True Blue perform live in 2025 through to 2026 before his Travellin' Days are Done. There is no doubt that his contribution to our country's music and the national psyche will resonate long after the last note has been played.

Unauthorised ticket sellers
If you buy tickets from an unauthorised seller (e.g. Viagogo, Gumtree, ebay), you risk losing your money and your chance to see your favourite performer. You may be buying a forged/fake ticket, or the scammer may be selling the same ticket multiple times. The end result is that you may lose your money and may be refused entry to the performance. We have no obligation to honour unauthorised tickets. The Moncrieff Entertainment Centre, its website and ticketing provider TicketSearch, are the only authorised ticket sellers for events at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre. If you are uncertain when buying tickets online, contact the box office on 07 4130 4100.
