Supported by the Queensland Government through Round 29 of Tourism and Events Queensland’s Destination Events Program, this event showcases the unique connection between our state’s vibrant communities and the diverse regions they call home.
Events like the Taste Bundaberg Festival bring people together, celebrate local culture and contribute significantly to the community’s pride and economy.

Mayor's Welcome
I’m delighted to welcome you to the 2025 Taste Bundaberg Festival, a celebration of the flavours, creativity and community spirit that make our region so special.
This year’s program features an exciting mix of new events from passionate local hosts, along with the return of popular favourites.
Whether you’re after a relaxed picnic, a family-friendly day out, or a craft brew with mates, there’s something for everyone.
The Taste Bundaberg Market returns to Alexandra Park on Saturday 6 September, and we’re thrilled to welcome back MasterChef Australia’s Harry Butterfield for expert cooking demonstrations.
The Mayor’s Ball on Saturday 13 September will be the gala event of the festival, raising funds for the Mayor’s Christmas Appeal. Expect a fantastic night of dining, dancing and dazzling entertainment.

The Mayor's Ball
Step into an unforgettable evening of celebration, community and outstanding culinary delights. An exquisite menu, curated to highlight local produce, will bring the heart of Bundaberg alive through flavour.
Dance the night away with a powerhouse line up of live entertainment featuring the high energy sounds of The Anthems Live Band, an electrifying performance from Abby Skye & The Batman and the soulful voice of Keely Ellen.

Berries, Bubbles and Brushes
Join artist Kate Victoria and Melanice from Cha Cha Chocolate for a special pot painting workshop at the Kate Victoria Creative Studio.
Throughout the night you will also be invited to have the ultimate hands-on experience, dipping your very own fresh local strawberries in milk chocolate to enjoy while painting.
Your ticket will include a glass of bubbles on arrival, a sweet and savoury grazing box to enjoy while painting your own pot, a Cha Cha Chocolate goodie bag to take home as well as a strawberry plant from Bargara Berries.

The Sunday Fix Wellness Party
The Sunday Fix is a community wellness initiative designed to support physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing in a fun, inclusive, and accessible way.
The event brings people together to move, breathe, connect, and reset — creating a powerful and positive way to start the week.
The event will include health and wellness vendors and be accompanied by music from a live DJ, building meaningful community relationships in a relaxed, uplifting environment.

Experience Tide and Taste, an exclusive culinary event hosted on Grunske's exclusive riverside wharf.
Celebrity chef Harry Butterfield will prepare a seasonal seafood menu showcasing the best local catch.
Celebrate Dad this Father's Day with live music and local seafood with drinks package, on the banks of the Burnett River. This intimate gathering is limited to just 40 guests, creating a truly unique and personal dining experience you won’t find anywhere else.

The Farmer's Table is a slow-food celebration of Bundaberg's vibrant vegetable growers and the rich soil that sustains them.

Harry Butterfield is your down-to-earth Aussie chef with a serious passion for seafood and the ocean. Growing up with fresh ingredients and a love for the ocean, Harry’s connection to food runs deep.
Harry finished MasterChef Australia as the 4th runner-up, where he stood out as the show's resident seafood guru. Throughout the competition, he impressed with his exceptional seafood skills, earning widespread recognition for his innovative dishes and his commitment to sustainable cooking practices.
Beyond his culinary achievements, Harry is passionate about creating digital content and engaging with his audience on socials. He enjoys sharing his famous recipes, cooking techniques and the ocean-to-plate journey with his followers, fostering a vibrant online community. His dedication to both the kitchen and digital storytelling reflects his enthusiasm for connecting with others and sharing his love for food.
