Chilli & Lime Festival

The mouthwatering Riverfeast Chilli & Lime Festival is back! Come along and celebrate the subtropical flavours of our hard-hitting chilli and zesty limes by local growers for one of Bundaberg’s most popular foodie events of the year!

Bert's Pop Up

Sit back and relax as the sun sets and enjoy an evening of local produce, drinks, and music on the grounds of CQUniversity. Taste Farmers Market

The Bundaberg Region is renowned as Australia’s food bowl and the Taste Farmers Market is your opportunity to fill your bowl – and your pantry!

Fruit and vegetables fresh from the fields, trees and vines will sit alongside meats straight from the paddock and the ocean, showcasing the diversity of delights available right across the region.

Stallholders will display clever culinary creations and food vans will serve up the flavours of the region fresh to market-goers.

Located in Alexandra Park alongside the Burnett River, the Taste Farmers Market is an opportunity to appreciate the beauty and the bounty of the Bundaberg Region.

Speak to passionate producers about what makes their fare the best of the best, and why they love to grow it right here.

The region’s farmers provide fresh produce to cafes, restaurants and supermarkets all over Australia, but at this special event, they sell it direct to you.

Celebrity chef Poh Ling Yeow will make a special appearance at the Taste Farmers Market, and will have 200 free, signed cook books ready to hand out to those lucky enough to find her first, making it a morning not to be missed.

Craft Beer Tasting at The Brewhouse

Taste craft brews made using farm-fresh fruits and vegetables grown in our own backyard at the popular Brewhouse. Take a tour behind-the-scenes of this local brewery and learn the secrets of how Ballistic Beer Co and Bargara Brewing Co beverages are made, straight from the passionate brewers themselves. Kadilly Coffee Appreciation Class

Taste your way through the flavours of locally roasted coffee, Kadilly Coffee, with their Coffee Appreciation Class in the lush surrounds of HSG At The Gardens. Learn first-hand what goes into creating this exquisite coffee from growing, to roasting, and grinding, before enjoying your very own selection of brews.

Local Flavours by Poh

She’s impressed the MasterChef judges and triumphed in elimination cook-offs but at this Multiplex cooking demonstration the pressure is off and Poh Ling Yeow’s focus is sharing her love of food with Bundaberg Region audiences.

Poh comes from a proud family of Chinese Malaysian home cooks and, through her television series Poh’s Kitchen, has fulfilled a dream - to get others excited about cooking and raise awareness of food wastage.

For the lucky attendees of this event, enjoy this experience live as Poh takes fresh, local ingredients and produces incredible and unique dishes that will tantalise the tastebuds.

The Multiplex auditorium will be filled with the aromas of good food packed with plenty of flavour for this special event.

Don’t miss this opportunity to pick up tips, tricks and advice from one of the nation’s most recognisable chefs.

Banquet on the Bridge

Take a step back in time with a unique dining experience on the iconic Burnett Traffic Bridge.The bridge’s expansive arches, which have become a distinctive feature of the local landscape, will be covered in twinkling lights as you come close enough to touch the region’s history.

The tastes of the region will be celebrated in high fashion with canapes on arrival and a three-course paired meal.

Enjoy a Gin cocktail on arrival, an all-inclusive 3 hour beverage package, and a Rum liqueur with dessert.

Roving entertainers will serenade diners as they delight in the flavours of the region.

Officially opened on 24 August 1900 guests can celebrate the significance of the Burnett Traffic Bridge, an engineering marvel of its time.

Unveiling The People's Cider

Less socialist and more social-media, the People’s Cider is an interactive drink-making experiment! Ohana’s maverick cidermakers invite their greatest fans to decide the ingredients of ‘the People’s Cider’ who can then cheers to its triumphant unveiling with a great celebration of local nibbles, expert musings from the head cidermaker, and a look behind the scenes at the Ohana headquarters.

Paddock to Plate Luncheon

At this thoroughly tantalizing event bringing together our passionate foodies, taste your way through the region’s delicious flavours at a 3-course dining experience at HSG At The Gardens. The Long Lunch at Water Street

Take a seat at Bundaberg’s most exclusive long lunch. Water St Kitchen presents a collision of technique and flavour in the popular restaurant’s gardens. Indulge in a six-course tasting menu with optional wine and cocktail pairings taking you on a sensory journey of the region’s culinary story.

Tours of the Rare Fruit Orchard

Come explore the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens’ incredible Rare Fruit Tree Orchard. Home to a diverse range of fruits, unlikely to be seen on shelves, take a tour through the Orchard and learn first-hand about the rare fruits grown in our backyard and what you can grow in your garden at home.

Sweet Potato Feastival

Enjoy an evening with Joey and his team at The Windmill Bargara as we celebrate the humble vegetable that makes our region the Sweet Potato capital of Australia.

Using the freshest produce from Sweet Potatoes Australia and local farms, the night will feature a feast of sweet potatoes over a 3-course dining experience.

Soak up the cozy atmosphere under the twinkling lights while listening to musical stylings by local performer, Ruby Mills.

Taste Bundaberg Festival Signature Dinner

You may have seen Poh Ling Yeow on your television screen a time or two but in this signature dining experience her nationally renowned creations will be served right to your table.

The famous Australian cook and former MasterChef contestant will take over the H20 Restaurant and Bar kitchen for one night only to cook her favourite dishes.

In a true celebration of the Bundaberg Region, diners will take in the magnificent views of the Burnett River while sampling a delectable four-course menu.

Poh will be delivering three of the courses, inspired by the region’s finest ingredients, with each dish to be created with her customary flair.

The talented H20 head chef Nathan will also present one of the dishes alongside Poh, showcasing the skill of the region’s culinary creators.

Mon Repos First Nations Dining Experience

Take your seat around the fire for this inaugural dining experience that celebrates food, culture and togetherness.

Australia’s illustrious Indigenous chef Mark Olive, (aka ‘The Black Olive’), joins local chef Joey Caruana to showcase authentic local cuisine at Bundaberg’s inaugural ‘Mon Repos First Nations Dinner’. 

Mark’s television series The Outback Café is aired in living rooms all over the world, sharing his knowledge of native ingredients while giving an insight into Aboriginal culture and customs.

During this immersive experience guests will experience the welcome of a traditional smoking ceremony and be captivated by our local Indigenous cultural performers. 

With the sand between your toes savour sumptuous local produce as modern dining melds with tradition in a celebration of fire, water and earth among family and friends.

Blooms and bounty take centre stage in this behind the scenes tour of One Little Farm. Hear direct from a fourth generation farmer as you are given a unique perspective on their world of farming, seasonal produce and stunning floral arrangements.

The world's largest and most successful polo series returns to Bundaberg, bringing with it award-winning entertainment, glamour, excitement, premium food, Champagne and the thrill of the world's fastest ball game, presented in the guise of Urban Polo.

Farm Flavours Picnic

The popular Farm Flavours Picnic is as sought after as it is simple – enjoy a hamper for two in the shade of a macadamia tree.

Sunshine and the sounds of a jazz band add to the atmosphere that encourages picnickers to kick back, relax and relish diverse and delicious local produce.

Hosted by Macadamias Australia on its expansive orchard, for a few hours it’s easy to feel as though you’ve left the rest of the world behind.

Lounging on picnic blankets, dotted with the occasional hay bale and table and chairs, all there is to do is enjoy a delicious meal, catered by Water St Kitchen, and sip on local beer, wine or soft drink.

Typically selling out within minutes, the 2021 Farm Flavours Picnic has been expanded with more tickets available than ever before.
