FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
GAME DAY gates open from 1 pm for the pre-match entertainment. NRL game kick off is at 3 pm.
GENERAL ADMISSION tickets to the match are not seated and are standing room only, no chairs, no tables, no eskies, no umbrellas to be brought into the event.
RECEIVING YOUR TICKETS this process is controlled by Ticketek. Ticket holders will receive their ticket orders the week of the match, usually 48 hours prior to the match start time. Any questions regarding this should be sent to Ticketek directly.
MERCHANDISE will be available for purchase on match day. The merchandise outlet is eftpos only, cash will not be accepted.
ATM There is an ATM located on site, behind the main grandstand for patrons use.
SMOKING/VAPING is only permitted in the designated smoking areas as outline in the venue map.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE There are a number of food and beverage providers in attendance offering a wide range of products. These vendors can be found on all four corners of the venue as per the venue map.
ALCOHOL is available for purchase at the four bar areas located around the venue as indicated on the venue map. Patrons are asked to drink responsibly and reminded that only adults 18 years or over are allowed to consume alcohol. Penalties may apply in line with the Liquor Act 1992.
POLICE AND SECURITY security will be present throughout the duration of the event.
FIRST AID for the event is located behind the Premium Grandstand and Southern Grandstands.
TOILETS disability compliant toilets can be found in four locations at either end of the large grandstands. Portable toilets will also be available for patrons, located behind the premium sideline seating and behind the main grandstand per the venue map.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Council reserves the right to refuse entry to patrons who do not comply with the Conditions of Entry. Council also reserves the right to restrict/prohibit items that may cause public nuisance, such as chairs/stools/folding tables (disability support items permitted), flag poles, banners, whistles, hooters etc. For a full list of what is restricted, please see the Conditions of Entry below.
DRESS STANDARDS As a minimum for general admission, patrons must be appropriately clothed for a public place and must wear shoes. Patrons with bare feet will not be permitted entry. Corporate areas of the venue will be subject to dress codes with a higher minimum standard. See Conditions of Entry below for further information.
PETS No pets are allowed on the event site, with the exception of Assistance Animals.
GETTING TO THE GAME
PARKING Parking is available onsite (gold coin donation) with access is via both Avoca and Walker Streets. Patrons parking outside the venue are reminded not to obstruct driveways/emergency access points.

UBER services will be available in a limited capacity on game day. Download the Uber app here.
BUS Stewart and Sons and Duffy’s Busses will be operational during their regular times and routes.
ROAD CLOSURES White Street will be closed from 6 am to 8 pm. Traffic management will be in place for patron drop off.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
For the comfort, safety and enjoyment of all patrons, Council reserves the right to:
• Refuse entry to any persons deemed to be intoxicated, drug effected, disorderly and/or engaging in anti-social behaviour.
• Refuse entry to any unauthorised persons.
• Refuse entry of items which have the potential to cause injury or public nuisance. (i.e. large flags/banners, musical instruments, etc.)
• Council reserves the right to inspect/search bags of all patrons who enter or exit the venue, regardless of size. This may include the touching of the outside of the bag and/or seeking assistance of the bag owner to remove items from the bag. Patrons who refuse inspections or searches may be denied entry to the venue.
• CCTV is located in and around the event precinct for the purpose of venue security and public safety. Footage may be provided to the Queensland Police Service. All personal information is handled in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009.
• Patrons are only authorised to access the seats/areas of the venue to which they are ticketed.
• Persons gaining unauthorised access to the venue and/or the venue’s field of play may be liable for prosecution.
• Patrons who cause a disturbance, or refuse to comply with requests made by Council and event staff will be evicted from the venue.
• Pass-outs will not be issued.
• Persons under 12 years of age will not be permitted entry unless under the direct supervision of an adult.
• Alcoholic beverages cannot be taken into or from the venue by patrons.
• Smoking, including use of electronic cigarettes, personal vaporisers, etc. is only permitted in the designated smoking areas. Patrons who smoke outside the designated smoking areas at the venue may be immediately evicted from the venue.
• Patrons wishing to bring personal items into the venue do so at their own risk. Council will not be held responsible for any damages to, loss or theft of a patron’s personal property.
• Umbrellas are not permitted into the venue. It is recommended patrons bring ponchos or rain jackets for use inside the venue.
• Due to safety reasons, strollers and prams are not permitted into the venue’s ticketed seating areas and cannot be kept in aisles or other open areas which may impact the safe passage of patrons.
• Unauthorised soliciting and customer surveying is not permitted.
• Patrons are not permitted to throw any objects around or within the venue seating areas.
• Some sporting and other activities are dangerous. Patrons viewing such activities do so at their own risk.
SECURITY CHECKS
All persons entering Salter Oval will be subject to the following security checks:
• 100% bag check at all entry gates (including staff and media entries);
• Persons refusing to undergo such security processes will be refused entry to Salter Oval.
• Patrons will be encouraged not to bring bags to the Stadium.
• Should a patron have a bag which requires checking by security staff, then the patron will be responsible for unpacking and re-packing their bags as part of the process
PROHIBITED ITEMS
• Glass or cans, including aerosol cans or metal containers of any style
• Alcoholic beverages and illicit drugs
• Flares, fireworks, explosives, smoke bombs or other
• Incendiary devices
• Laser pens/pointers
• Drones
• Knives or other dangerous weapons
• Chairs/stools/folding seats (disability support items permitted)
• Cameras and recording devices (for commercial purposes) including tripods
• Metal flag poles, extendable flag poles and/or flag poles of more than 1.4 metres in length and 2cm in diameter
• Oversized banners and flags which are deemed to cause public nuisance. Specific conditions may apply for some events regarding the entry of flag poles, flags and banners
• Whistles, hooters, and horns and other musical instruments (e.g., drums)
• Balloons, confetti or shredded paper
• Scooters, roller skates, skateboards and push bikes
• Not to wear or otherwise display commercial, political or other offensive signage or logos
• Animals (with the exception of certified service animals)
• Other items as determined by Council that may cause injury or public nuisance
• Eskies
• Bags with larger dimension than 40cm in height, 30cm in width and 30cm in length (i.e., too large to be stored under a seat)
